Books and Bears is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in McKinney TX. We believe it is fundamental for children everywhere to get equal access to resources such as tutoring, sports, and more.

About Us

Books & Bears is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the love for literacy and creativity through children's programs. We understand that families often lack the resources to provide secondary opportunities for their children. Our founder, Elisa Kim saw this problem firsthand and decided to look for a solution, which became Books & Bears. Through our children’s programs that combine reading and activities such as sports, arts, and baking, we are able to provide learning opportunities for any and every kid.
